Responsive web design Birmingham: Church of England: National funerals website

Client: The Church of England

National funerals website for the Church of England

For a design agency specialising in responsive web design Birmingham, we were really chuffed to win this national job – a flagship project from the Church of England’s Archbishops’ Council.

The site is an extremely user-friendly, WordPress-powered, fully responsive website, for anyone organising or attending a Church of England funeral in the United Kingdom. The site is predominantly an information site, with a number of innovative interactive features, such as the unique ‘Light a candle‘ feature, a dynamic FAQ section and a dynamic step-by-step funeral walk-through with built-in audio (see the third panel of the walk-through) so people can listen to hymns to help them with the planning process.

We continue to provide ongoing support to the Church of England for this, and the other three sites we have designed and built for them (Church of England Christenings site, Church Support Hub and the (forthcoming) UK national Weddings site). Our aim with the ongoing website support that we provide is to be as responsive as possible, to be as cost effective as possible, and to keep the sites up to date and secure at all times. It sounds basic, but after great design, keeping our clients delighted is always our overarching aim with any project we undertake.

Responsive web design Birmingham

Being an agency specialising in responsive web design Birmingham – i.e. based in Birmingham (not London) is actually a huge advantage for jobs like this. As with all web design work these days, it doesn’t really matter where you are based (as the work is all online), but it often works out as a much better deal for the client if you’re not in London, as we don’t have to charge London rates. And Birmingham is an excellent central meeting point when you have clients from all over the country, especially with the train network (and the new HS2 when it arrives…). So if you’re looking for an agency to work on your website, don’t Google ‘responsive web design London‘, or ‘responsive web design Edinburgh‘. Instead go for the middle of the country – on the major north-south train lines, massively well-supported by motorways, and Google ‘responsive web design Birmingham‘.
