Client: The Church of England
churchofenglandchristenings.org
National Christenings website for the Church of England
Another flagship job for the The Church of England, very similar in scope and size to the national funerals website that we also designed for the Church of England.
One of the things we really enjoy about these types of responsive web design jobs is working out new and innovative ways to deliver what the client needs. Everyone knows the web is a fast-moving thing, with new technologies coming out all the time, but it is incredible just how quickly things actually change. The FAQ section on this site is a case in point. When we first designed it, it looked like a pretty standard FAQ section – functional, but not very exciting. Then along came the churchsupporthub website for the Church of England a couple of months later, and we developed a new and exciting way to do FAQ sections. With new technology that would have been really expensive to implement just a few months earlier.
The client liked it so much they asked us to redesign the FAQ sections for both the funeral and the christening websites to bring them up to the same level as the Church Support Hub FAQ section. You can see it in all it's glory here. Try choosing a different category and watch everything move around in front of your eyes, dynamically. Such a different experience to what FAQ sections are normally like.
And tomorrow there'll be something even better out there that we can use. Something that would have set you back a couple of grand just last month, but now is quick and inexpensive to build... We look forward to implementing it in to the next site we build. Will it be yours?
